Anti-Environmentalist Writers

Marita Noon is a conservative writer for Breitbart.com cfact.org, and numerous other publications including EPAAbuse.com (which coincidentally, hasn’t had a single post since Trump started running for office.) In this snappy article Environmentalists are Killing the Economy, Marita Noon argues (in a rather condescending tone) the same old argument most conservatives center on: That America’s use of  natural gas (along with coal and and the keystone pipeline) will produce jobs, is good for the economy, and better for national debt and economic independence. If only these pesky environmentalists would stop meddling everything would be fine! That seems to be her corner as she continually states things such as “But environmental groups don’t want this net economic gain to the national economy. Apparently, they’d prefer that we continue to borrow from China’s Australian coal-fueled economy.”

Although is type of persuasion, in my opinion, is so garishly short-sighted as to never be convincing, I fear that mine is not the popular opinion.  The way I see it, if we no longer have an Earth, the argument of a flourishing economy is embarrassingly moot.  But maybe if you are struggling to feed yourself, it becomes difficult to zoom out of the instantaneous need for survival in order to see even a tiny bit of the greater picture.

Marita Noon has written something derogatory about every single type green energy technology created.  The lengthy list of her endless contribution to this subject, is only contested by the lengthy list of conservatives and oil tycoons fattening her pockets. You see Marita Noon is also the executive director for Energy Makes America Great Inc. and the companion educational organization, the Citizens’ Alliance for Responsible Energy (CARE), neither of which seem to currently have functioning websites.   Not even the facebook page linked to Energy Makes America Great seems to be functioning at the moment.  OpenSecrets.org lists the nonprofit “Energy Makes America Great Inc.” as having received the following donations in 2015:

  • $1,000,000 from Phil Ruffin of Ruffin Holdings ~ According to Bloomberg.com Ruffin Holdings invests in real estate and “owns oil wells in Kansas.”
  • $100,000 from Dezer Properties ~ Michael Dezer is known for his real estate investments in association with Donald Trump.
  • $100,000 from Kushner Properties ~ Whose founder Charles Kushner was convicted of tax evation and witness tampering in 2005. So he left the managment of the company up to his son Jared Kushner who is currently acting as senior advisor to his father-in-law Donald Trump.

The list goes on and on.   Curiously, it appears that Energy Makes America Great was formed in 2010. So it seems strange that it’s name is the Trump slogan many years before he ran for office. Additionally, I also found this chilling statement:  “CFACT policy advisor Marita Noon announces she is retiring her “Energy Makes America Great!” platform (at least for now), as the election of Donald Trump signifies that the changes she has labored for may soon be coming to pass. On the other hand, maybe she is being groomed for a bigger platform.”  (http://www.cfact.org/author/marita/)
